Klean Kanteen is a family-owned company that was founded in 2005 in Chico, CA, with a mission to give people a better option than plastic and lined aluminium bottles: a safe, healthy, lightweight, reusable bottle free of Bisphenol A (BPA) and other toxic substances. A certified B Corporation and member of 1% For The Planet, Klean Kanteen, not only makes safe, eco-friendly water bottles, but also maintains high levels of oversight at their facilities in China to ensure that their factories meet environmental and fair labor standards.

Klean Kanteen has four main bottle lines: Kid Kanteen, Classic, Wide, and Insulated. The Kid Kanteen line currently consists smaller bottles for children and toddlers. The Classic is the original Klean Kanteen with the distinctive longneck design. The Wide is a wide-mouth bottle, for quick filling, pouring and cleaning making it ideal for backcountry use. The Insulated has the same design as the wide-mouth bottle but uses double-walled, vacuum insulation to keeps contents at stable temperatures, up to six hours for hot liquids and 24 hours for iced drinks.
